Slovenia
ljubljana

Slovenia is a small country in Central Europe bordering on Italy (W), Austria (N), Hungary (E)and Croatia (S). It is half the size of Switzerland, however, due to its unique position on the crossroad between the East and the West, as well as the North and the South, it has a little bit of everything: sunny Alps in the north, mysterious Karst on the south, lowlands with vineyards in the east and green Mediterranean coast on the west.

Ljubljana

Castle and Old Town

Ljubljana, a capital city, has been described by visitors as a smaller Prague. Despite the fact that it ranks among the middle sized European cities, it maintains the friendliness of a small town, while at the same time it possesses all the characteristics of a metropolis. Due to its central geographical position, Ljubljana represents an ideal point to discover the amazingly diverse features and beauty of Slovenia. Lowlands With Vineyards
ljubljana
Extensive vineyards are home
to the best Slovenian wines

Extensive vineyards, which rise from the edge of Maribor all the way to Hungary and Croatia, are interwoven with more than 50 kilometers of wine roads. Maribor, the second most important centre and town of Slovenia, is developed Gin the foothills of Pohorje, the green oasis on the eastern edge of the Alps.

Green Mediterranean coast
ljubljana
Piran is Slovenia's oldest city and
a former Venetian holiday spot

The Slovene coast, stretching short, but nonetheless beautiful 46,4 kilometers, is covered with abundant vegetation. Here are the Secovlje salt works, a regional park and a rich sanctuary of a plant and animal world. The towns of Piran, Izola and Koper attract visitors with their medieval image. Portorose is a lively tourist town with plenty of comfortable hotels and modern swimming beaches.
